Global Stencil (formerly Specialty Photo-Etch, Inc.) was
established in 1985 to serve the printed circuit board
assembly industry. In 1986 chemical etching of
solderpaste stencils began. In 1993, the Stencil
Division of MPM Corporation was purchased, which
provided the additional equipment and knowledge needed
to better serve our customers. Laser cutting
technology was purchased in 1997 and additional capacity
was added in 1999, 2000 and 2008 to meet customer
demands. In 2001, web-based ordering and tracking was
made available to our customers. In 2002 laser upgrades
were made allowing us to cut up to .030” thick
material. In 2003 Laser-Cut ESD Safe Inspection
Templates and Pin Placement templates were introduced to
improve our customers assembly and quality process. In
2004 we began providing the Accu-Dot Adhesive deposition
stencil optimizing our customers adhesive printing
processes and Mini Rework Stencils for reworking parts
on PCB’s. Finally, in 2005 Global Stencil opened its
Austin, TX facility to provide same day and early next
day delivery in the Central Texas area.
The future is bright because of our commitment to become
a global provider of stencils and SMT products. We are
strategically located, just minutes from a major
international airport, and continue to develop a "Center
of Excellence" at both locations to serve the world.
With worldwide distribution companies, we are no longer
held hostage by geographical location. We are committed
to continuous improvement of both our quality and
customer service and continue to be a major supplier in
