Electro-Polishing Technology

Our superior electro-polishing process, which is applied only to the aperture walls on etched stencils and on the entire laser cut stencil, creates a mirror finish on the aperture walls resulting in less surface tension in the aperture opening.  The stencil is first submerged in an acidic solution and an electrical current is applied to the stencil. An electro-chemical reaction occurs and reshapes the molecular layer of the foil material. The result is a mirrored finish smoothing the aperture walls and aiding in paste release and transfer.
