Global Stencil, Inc. utilizes the latest laser technology. Laser cut stencils are the most widely used and accepted method of stencil application today. Smooth, trapezoid shaped sidewalls offer the cleanest print and release of paste and are perfect for printing ultra-fine pitch, BGA and micro-BGA openings.

Laser cut apertures can be cut to an accuracy of +/- .00025" and the typical laser cut aperture is .0005" smaller on the top, or squeegee side, of the stencil than the bottom, or contact side, of the stencil. This trapezoidal aperture shape permits optimal paste transfer from the stencil.

With 5 laser stencil cutting systems in operation, Global Stencil stays ahead of daily stencil demand.

The T8 Stencil Production System is our latest laser cutting system and was installed the first quarter of 2008.  It is the result of over 25 years of laser design and it is the laser stencil system with the very best cut quality in the market today. Achieving this cut quality requires an optimal balance of laser quality, motion control and gas delivery. The new fiber laser system used on the T8 can deliver kerf widths as low as 0.015mm. The T8 is the only laser stencil machine which can deliver the required smooth and precise motion and uniform gas delivery necessary to match the fiber laser technology. No other stencil machine can boast a resolution of 10nM and an effective laser beam down to 15 microns!  In addition to its extremely smooth aperture walls, the T8 is the fastest laser available in the industry.  With the ability to cut up to 28,000 apertures per hour, this system allows us to deliver very large aperture count stencils next or same day, something impossible with older generation laser cutting systems.

Our Lumonics Screencut stencil cutting systems have been workhorses and continue to perform in our daily stencil operations.  The YAG lasers produce extremely smooth sidewalls and maintain amazing accuracy.  Global Stencil's commitment to preventative maintenance and laser tuning and adjustment allow these machines to continue to perform.  When combined with new fine grain stainless steel alloys, these systems produce stencils capable of printing micro BGA's, 0402's and have even produced stencils printing 0201's.  The combination of the latest stainless steel technology and these laser systems have eliminated the need to polish after laser cutting and continue to serve the needs of our industry.
