Recently our quality team, utilizing our ISO 9001:2000 quality system, identified our liquid oxygen source as a possible cause for process failure. The small tanks had to be continuously monitored and adjusted to maintain a consistent oxygen pressure which is instrumental in maintaining a smooth, burr free cut. Due to heavy demand, we have come close to depleting our oxygen supply and have had to order emergency deliveries of liquid oxygen cylinders to keep our process running. We knew we had to take action to prevent any downtime in the future. 

With the help of our oxygen supply company we determined the solution: install a large bulk oxygen tank. A 1500-gallon liquid oxygen tank, complete with a dataqwest tank telemetri feature, has now been installed. A built-in alarm system notifies both Global Stencil and our supplier, via the Internet, when the oxygen level reaches a critical point.

Now, our laser operators will no longer have to switch between tanks on a daily basis. With consistent oxygen pressure and flow during the entire laser cutting process Global Stencil can continue to produce quality stencils.
